Pina Earth is in the final of the German Sustainability Award (DNP ) in the "Products" category in the "Climate" transformation field! We are delighted that our climate protection projects for climate-resilient and biodiverse forests in Germany have made it to the final selection of the German Sustainability Award 2024!
The award from the German Sustainability Award Foundation honors exemplary companies from 100 sectors that are driving a successful transformation in the German economy. With the DNP seal, successful participants in the competition can document their leading position in the field of sustainability to customers, suppliers, the media and the financial world. The DNP seal is a prestigious external recognition and makes pioneers in the field of sustainability recognizable.
Pina Earth's climate protection projects convert endangered monocultures into climate-resilient mixed forests. This not only stores additional CO₂, but also increases the structural diversity and biodiversity of the forests. This approach has the potential to bind gigatons of emissions.
Pina Earth quantifies the additional CO₂ storage capacity using specially developed, AI-based measurement technologies. The digitalization of this process increases the accuracy and transparency of climate protection projects and, for the first time, companies can make an active contribution to climate protection through local forest carbon offset projects.

Dr. Christine Rzepka has been Marketing & Communications Lead at Pina Earth since 2023. In her articles, she shares recommendations and practical insights on credible sustainability communication and provides insights into Pina Earth's technology-based approach to regional climate protection. Before joining Pina Earth, she worked in other start-ups in the FinTech and EdTech space, in technology consulting and in academia as part of her PhD in Information Systems.
