Over the past few months, we have visited several of our climate protection projects together with our partners and experienced first-hand how forest conversion and sustainable forestry work in practice. These visits show how our partners' contribution is being received in the forest and what progress our projects have already achieved.

In the Wendland region of Lower Saxony, together with the WERTGARANTIE Group, we were able to see how a pine forest is gradually being transformed into a healthy, structurally rich mixed forest. On 165 hectares, the forest is being actively restructured through careful thinning, natural regeneration and targeted new planting. This creates more resilient stands that are better able to cope with drought, storms and pests.
The WERTGARANTIE Group has its headquarters in Lower Saxony and is therefore committed to climate protection right on its own doorstep. This example shows how effectively regional responsibility can be practiced when companies become active in their home region.
Two years after its launch as one of the first projects under the forest climate standard of the eva - ecosystem value alliance, we can already see the impact of the conversion measures on the areas and the establishment of new trees.

Another highlight was our visit to the Rosenau project, where we welcomed partners such as CEEZER, zooplus, AKVO and yello.
During a joint tour of the forest, the forest owners, Mr. and Mrs. Freytag, showed us what it means to make the forest sustainable in the long term. They have been committed pioneers of forest conversion for many years and the results speak for themselves: bark beetle infestation has remained minimal in advanced mixed forest areas, whereas it often causes devastating damage in conventional monocultures.
The participants were able to see at first hand how consistent forest conversion makes our forests more resilient and thus makes a decisive contribution to climate protection.
Climate protection was also brought to life in the Herzfelde project: together with myclimate and committed corporate partners, an inspiring project visit took place during which the participants were able to experience the change in the forest for themselves.
For more than a year, myclimate has been supporting this project, which impressively demonstrates how regional forest projects contribute to CO2 storage and at the same time promote ecological diversity.

Our project visits show how important the direct exchange between companies, project partners and forest owners is. They make climate protection tangible, understandable and motivating and show that any support makes a real difference.
A big thank you to all our partners who have taken the time to experience our projects on the ground and work with us to drive change forward!
