The climate protection projects in Fokus Zukunft's portfolio are audited according to established standards by external auditors such as TÜV. This guarantees that the projects are based on scientific methods. Fokus Zukunft offers a broad portfolio of these climate protection projects, including renewable energy projects, cooking stove projects and nature-based solutions. Pina Earth offers high-qualityCO2 certificates from regional forest conversion projects in Germany. In this way, risky monocultures are converted into biodiverse mixed forests.
All projects are validated by the independent auditor TÜV Nord. The test reports confirm that Pina Earth's method fulfills the requirements of ISO standard 14064-2 and that all data models and calculations are comprehensible. The resultingCO2 reduction performance is quantified in an appropriately conservative manner. With Pina Earth's projects, Fokus Zukunft is adding high-qualityCO2 certificates in the nature-based solutions sector from Germany to its project portfolio. Fokus Zukunft is thus not only expanding its portfolio withCO2 certificates, but also enabling companies to strengthen numerous UN sustainability goals with Pina Earth's projects.
Forests cover 30.7% of the earth's surface and not only provide food security and shelter, but are also important in the fight against climate change and for the protection of biodiversity. Intact terrestrial ecosystems are crucial for both economic and social stability. By implementing measures to protect and conserve forests, the loss of biodiversity can be halted (SDG 15). In addition, the storage of groundwater by forests is also protected (SDG 6) and the sustainable use of wood as a raw material is ensured (SDG 12).
