Pina Earth sees itself as an impact company with a clear mission: to combat climate change. Our central concern is the reduction of CO₂ emissions. To this end, we at Pina Earth develop certified climate protection projects with the aim of converting forests in Germany into climate-resilient mixed forests. By planting new tree species and other measures, Pina Earth's projects store additionalCO2 from the atmosphere, which in turn benefits the climate.
Pina Earth quantifies the additional reduction performance using specially developed AI-based measurement technologies. With the resulting carbon credits, Pina Earth enables companies to make an effective contribution to climate protection. We also want to be aware of our own impact. Our Sustainability Report 2022 highlights how we generate a positive impact in our company in three core areas:
- Employee development and diversity: We strive to create an environment in which every voice feels valued and heard. We believe that different backgrounds bring unique perspectives and skills. Therefore, we consider a diverse and empowered team to be at the heart of a sustainable organization.
- Close cooperation with local forest owners: In order to assess the health of the forests and take appropriate measures, close cooperation with forest owners is essential. Through this partnership, we not only promote climate awareness, but also receive valuable feedback to improve our offering.
- Sustainable management: We strive to keep our carbon footprint as low as possible and to continuously reduce it.
Since our company was founded in 2021, we have made an annual climate contribution that corresponds to our own carbon footprint. With the first publication of our sustainability report, we want to increase our transparency and share both our achievements and visions. The report presents important milestones, provides insights into our policies and provides data on our emissions and business processes.
Looking ahead to the coming year, we have set ourselves the goal of increasing our positive impact without proportionally increasing our environmental footprint. The goals set out in our sustainability report serve to guide our efforts and ensure that we always remain true to our commitments.
