In recent months, we’ve had the opportunity to visit several of our climate protection projects together with our partners and witness firsthand how forest transformation and sustainable forestry take effect in practice. These visits impressively demonstrate how our partners’ contributions are making an impact on the ground and the progress our projects have already achieved.

In Wendland, Lower Saxony, we joined the WERTGARANTIE Group to see how a former pine forest is gradually being transformed into a healthy, diverse mixed forest. Across 165 hectares, the forest is being actively reshaped through careful thinning, natural regeneration, and targeted replanting. This creates more resilient stands that can better withstand drought, storms, and pests.
What makes this particularly special is that the WERTGARANTIE Group is headquartered in Lower Saxony, engaging in climate protection right on their own doorstep. This is a strong example of how regional responsibility can be put into meaningful action when companies invest in their home region.
Two years after launching as one of the first projects under the Forest Climate Strategy of eva, it is clear to see how climate contributions directly support forest transformation and promote the ecological stability of the area.

Another highlight was our visit to the Rosenau project, where we were delighted to welcome partners such as CEEZER, zooplus, AKVO, and yello.
During a forest walk, landowners Mr. and Mrs. Freytag shared their long-term commitment to building a future-ready forest. As pioneers of forest transformation for many years, their results speak for themselves: in advanced mixed forest areas, bark beetle damage remained minimal, while traditional monocultures in similar conditions would have suffered severe losses.
Participants experienced firsthand how consistent forest transformation strengthens the resilience of our forests and makes a vital contribution to climate protection.
At the Herzfelde project, climate protection became tangible once again. Together with myclimate and several committed corporate partners, we organized an inspiring on-site visit where participants could experience the ongoing transformation in the forest.
For over a year now, myclimate has been supporting this project, which clearly demonstrates how regional forest initiatives contribute to CO2 storage while also enhancing ecological diversity.

Our project visits highlight how important direct exchange between companies, project partners, and forest owners truly is. They make climate action tangible, transparent, and motivating, showing that every contribution makes a real difference.
A heartfelt thank you to all our partners who took the time to experience our projects on site and continue driving change forward with us.
