Why do Europe's forests need our support?

CENTRAL CO2 STORAGE
45%

of the EU's land area is forest, which absorbs approximately one-third of human CO2 emissions.¹

Promoting climate resilience
60%

of EU biomass is currently at risk from climate change and must be adapted to climate change.²

Increasing biodiversity
80%

of all terrestrial biodiversity is at home in forests.³
